All the boys went to the front and only 5 of them came back.
After 1945 the school became a girl’s school.
In 1968 it moved to another district and was turned into a school, specializing in maths and physics.

In 1985 our school received a new building in a new southern district of Moscow Orehovo-Borisovo, where it is situated now.
Today our school is a structurally complicated multimodal organization, which consists of 5 buildings, where there are about 2000 students and about 200 teachers.
Nursery school, Primary school, Secondary school and secondary specialised school are situated in 4 separate buildings. The school has one more building – “Vidnoye” – a countryside building, where more than 80 people can live and study. Students are taken to “Vidnoye” for a few days to work according to different techniques, for example sponge activities and are engaged in different activities from their normal curriculum.

The Kindergarten. At the age of three children start going to our school kindergarten. There are four age groups in it. It is very popular among the people, living in the neighborhood and even in other surrounding areas. The rooms are very cozy, attractive and welcoming. The stuff is attentive and motivating.
The youngest. Besides the kindergarten, there is a “Pre-school” department. At about the age of 4 or 5 children come a few times a week to “Pre-school”. They don’t study in a traditional way: they draw, sing and sometimes meet with psychologists and speech therapists.

Our Primary school (7-10 years old) is situated in a separate building. Pupils study in it for 4 years with great pleasure.
Different methods of primary education are being developed. The main task of the primary teacher is to build on the knowledge and skills the children bring with them on arrival at primary school. The children are taught the culture of written and aural speech. From the first grade of primary school students study a foreign language, ICT, Art and crafts. They are taught to understand their environment. They specialize in project on different subjects and have their own web-site. In the school there are two theatres and a health centre. |
|
The Northern building is the biggest house for teenagers (11-14 years old) – 5-8 grades.
The children attend a lot of extra-curriculum classes and clubs after the lessons. Part of the building is occupied by an Art School, where students study from grade 5 to 11.
Our secondary education programme encourages our students to follow an independent learning programme. It is felt that students of this age need to take responsibility for their own learning. They work in specialist rooms for ICT, Science, foreign languages, Art studies and theatre studies. The students publish their own newspapers and enjoy the opportunity to travel. We have had a programme for many years called “A City as a School”. These encourages visits to Banks, transport companies, power stations, Museums and theatres. The ideal behind this programme is by taking education out of the classroom, the students will have a better understanding of how these places and industries work. From the age 11+ they study European Languages English, French, German and they start to learn Chinese and the learning of the Japanese language takes part at the extended day programme.
Teenagers try out new ideas and make mistakes and gain from personal experience this is all part of the learning programme. This is important as our students have to make a choice of options to specialize in at the age 14+. |
|
The senior students (15-18 years old) study in the Southern Building,
where they try to prove that learning is their main activity and they follow the motto that “Going to school should not interfere with education” (Mark Twain)
At High School there are different Departments which specialize in Maths, Science, Economics, Foreign Languages, Humanities and Art School.

Nursery school, primary and secondary school educational programs are carried out in our school. Besides, extra-curricular programs are implemented.
Extra-Curriculum. These are 117 clubs, ballet, dance groups, drama, sport providing many opportunities including learning Japanese. They are many projects including looking at “How to make Moscow traffic jams decrease” and this enables the students to think about problems within their city. The extra-curriculum clubs allow students to develop life-skills. |

opportunities. It includes the school buildings, school yards, tennis courts, an art gallery, a greenhouse, school theatres, workshops and school halls.
We pay a lot of attention to this environment, because it educates and extends the work in lessons with teachers. We try to make it beautiful, comfortable and safe and organized according to the ages of our students. |

Besides, there is different demonstrational equipment, such as interactive whiteboards, plasma screens, projectors, digital laboratories for Science, digital microscopes, Lego-constructors, language laboratories, etc. Libraries and access to Internet are available in each building. |
|
Modern education is first of all the ability to work with information, to be able to search it without any help of a tutor or a teacher. The aim of this programme is to give every participant of education process a wide access to different types of information.Providing the teachers with modern notebooks and software, school administration is working for training of a new generation of teachers, who will be able to use modern technologies at their lessons and make the teaching and learning process more effective. |
